No. All employees have the right to file a complaint, sue for violations of Massachusetts wage and hour laws and also be protected from retaliation for doing so. An employee can sue alone or with a group of employees who have a similar complaint (called a “class action”). An employer is not allowed to demote or fire you in retaliation for your complaint or otherwise take any negative adverse action against you for pursuing your legal right to be paid in full for your hard work.
