$350,000 settlement for civil rights violations -- Phillips & Garcia, along with co-counsel, obtained summary judgment for the Plaintiff in a federal court civil rights wrongful arrest and incarceration case where the Boston Police Department executed an arrest warrant on the wrong person, resulting in eight days in jail and tremendous emotional distress. The City of Boston appealed the trial court's decision to the First Circuit Court of Appeals where the parties settled the case with the help of the First Circuit court mediator.
